LAUNCH ON A LAUNCH 2026!!

The Most Famous (we assume), Most Iconic (potentially), Preeminent (definitely) Boat Race in Canberra. 

To Celebrate the start of Spring, each spring, Urban Rec unleashes Launch on a Launch – an event so legendary, it’s practically written into Canberra folklore (we assume).

Here’s how it works:

• We put your crew in a GoBoat on Lake Burley Griffin.

• We stock it with food & drinks.

• You navigate the lake completing a series of challenges.

• If you win, you claim epic prizes and the right to defend your crown next year.

• If you lose, you still get the story, the laughter, and the memories. Everybody wins.

How to Get a Boat

There are only 10 boats in the RACE. You can’t buy one. You can only WIN it.

• 8 boats → Priority Registration this spring.

• 1 boat → We’re gaving away at the Winter fun points party at Capital Brewing. 

• 1 boat → Last year’s champs, defending their title.

That’s it. 10 boats. 10 crews.
